cheesy logo animation I did for class a while ago in After Effects. Made into a gif on Photoshop as a test. Not perfect, but I’m ok with it as an exercise
!edit- made a new version, effect at beginning removed.

Good ol ellison, one of the best engies around
It’s funny how people in the comments are complaining about his constant jumping. Why do you think he’s playing so well?

Mouse sensitivity…
I never understood mouse sensitivity…like the whole centimeters per degrees shit. I didn’t care either, because most gamers will tell you to play at whatever sensitivity is comfortable to you. I mean, I know players who play at extremely high/low sensitivities, and it works for them. I’ve always thought I played at a “medium” sensitivity, but after doing some research, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
I used to play at 2 in-game sensitivity at 1800 DPI (which I now know is 11.5 cm/360 degree). I play with raw input so windows sensitivity doesn’t matter. Also, no mouse acceleration because I like consistency.
Anyway, I noticed for a while that I’ve been frequently failing my rocket jumps. Yeah, I know I’m not a great rocket jumper in the first place, but for a couple of weeks, I kept fucking up even the most simple jumps.
So I decided to lower my in-game sensitivity to 1.75 at 1800 DPI (13.2 cm/360 degrees), and it worked wonders! Suddenly, I’m able to wall jump more consistency. I’m able to go through jump maps more easily. Hell, I even learned how to speed pogo…
Today, for some reason, my in-game sensitivity changed back to 2 for a while, and I didn’t even realize it until I had to tweak it. Since it seems like 13.2 cm/360 degrees is the magic number for me, I decided to change my mouse DPI from 1800 to 3500 and lower my in-game sensitivity to 0.9 which is the same as 13.2 cm/360 degrees.
Anyway, this is kind of a random post, but I just thought I would share this since lowering my sensitivity has helped me improve without too much effort… Or maybe my previous sensitivity was holding me back.
Either way, I’ll be rocking the gunboats more often now.
